...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM EDT SUNDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR THE EASTERN TENNESSEE MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT FOOTHILLS...AND CHEROKEE AND CLAY COUNTIES OF NORTH CAROLINA... The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM EDT Sunday.
* TIMING...Through 11 PM ET Today, and from Noon through 9 PM ET Sunday.
* WIND...Westerly winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph today. Southerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph for Sunday afternoon and evening.
* HUMIDITY...Low Afternoon Relative Humidity in the teens to middle 20s today, and 20s to lower 30s for Sunday.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
