A fast moving cold front will sweep across the area the remainder of the evening. A few showers may accompany the front, with the most noticeable feature being a rapid increasing in westerly wind gusts of 40 to locally as high as 50 mph within an hour or so of passage of the front. Thereafter, wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will persist overnight.
