NOTICE TO RESIDENTS AND COMMUTERS

The Borough of Hawthorne would like to inform the public that Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 7:00 AM, road construction will commence at two key locations within the borough:

1. Diamond Bridge Avenue – between Goffle Road and Lafayette Avenue

2. Van Winkle Avenue – between Lincoln Avenue and Cornell Avenue

These improvement projects, conducted by the Department of Public Works (DPW), are essential to maintaining and enhancing our borough’s infrastructure.

To ensure public safety and minimize disruption, road closures and detours will be in effect throughout the duration of the work. Motorists are strongly advised to plan alternate routes and avoid the affected areas whenever possible.

The Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau will be actively monitoring both construction zones to manage traffic flow and maintain continuity. Officers will be present to oversee safety protocols and assist drivers as needed.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we undertake these critical upgrades. Please remain alert, obey all posted signage, and exercise caution when traveling near construction areas.
