Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with an assault.
On March 25, at approximately 12:53 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 100 block of South Poplar Street, in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, police made contact with three victims, who advised they had been physically assaulted by two unknown males, and provided a description of the suspects.
A short time later, police observed a male subject matching the description of one of the suspects in the area of South Walnut and East Front Streets. Police made contact with 18-year-old Amir Johnson, who was taken into custody without incident.
Johnson has been charged with the following offenses:
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released after posting $3,000 cash-only bail.
