Crime Blotter for the Week of March 16, 2025 – March 22, 2025

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of March 16, 2025 – March 22, 2025.        
 
March 16, 2025

  • No significant activity.

March 18, 2025
  • Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence):
900 Block of Buena Vista Street. On March 18, 2025 at 8:30 AM, the suspect and victim, who are in a dating relationship, were at the location when they began to argue over relationship issues. The argument became assaultive when the suspect threw an unknown object at the back of the victim’s head. The victim covered his head and, became dizzy and attempted to defend himself from head strikes as the suspect began to physically assault him. The victim escaped from the suspect, where he left the location, and eventually sought medical attention. No surveillance video is available.

March 19, 2025
  • Grand Theft:
1800 Block of Broadland Avenue. Between 5 PM on March 17, 2025 and 3 PM on March 19, 2025, the suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s catalytic converter to their parked vehicle, a black 2002 Toyota Camry. The loss was approximately $1,500. No surveillance video is available.
 
  • Grand Theft Auto:
2600 Block of Bloomdale Street. Between 6:30 PM on March 18, 2025 and 8:30 AM on March 19, 2025, the suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a grey 2000 Chevy Silverado. No surveillance video is available.
 
March 20, 2025
  • Robbery (Strong Arm):
1322 Huntington Drive (Grocery Outlet). On March 20, 2025 at 10:01 PM, the suspect unknown, a female black adult wearing a black shirt and khaki pants, was observed at a vacant register bagging groceries from her cart without attempting to purchase the items. A store employee tried to stop the suspect from leaving, but a struggle ensued over the items. After the struggle, the suspect let go of the bag but still held onto a bag of potatoes, which she threw at the victim, striking her in the back. The suspect fled the location in a black Chevy Malibu with Idaho plates of FM07056. Surveillance video is available. The stolen merchandise was valued at approximately $315. 
 
  • Petty Theft (Shoplifting):
1050 Huntington Dr. (Target). On March 20, 2025 at 6 PM, the suspect, a female white adult wearing a black shirt and black pants, was observed by loss prevention entering the location and concealing merchandise on her person. The victim immediately called “911,” suspecting a theft was about to occur, where responding deputies arrived and detained the suspect as she exited the store with the merchandise hidden upon her person. The stolen merchandise was valued at $245. Surveillance video is available.
