Need help, or know someone that needs help?
During regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) individuals in need should:
- Call the Monmouth County Division of Social Services at 732-431-6000 extension 4613 to be screened for placement or to be referred to a warming center.
- During daytime hours, unsheltered individuals can be referred to the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission Warming Center (701 Memorial Drive) when temperatures are below 32 degrees.
On weekends and after hours:
- During daytime hours, unsheltered individuals can be referred to the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission Warming Center (701 Memorial Drive) when temperatures are below 32 degrees.
- During the evening, unsheltered individuals can be referred to Trinity Church Warming Center (503 Asbury Avenue) between the hours of 7:00pm and 6:30am. Unsheltered folks can just show up, no referral or check in is needed.
- Families can call 211 and request CODE Blue placement. If assistance with transportation is needed, contact APPD at 732-774-1300.
Residents can also call APPD at 732-774-1300 to report specific concerns about vulnerable neighbors during Code Blue Extreme Cold Alerts.
