RED FLAG WARNING / NO OUTDOOR BURNING 
RED FLAG WARNING FOR WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY TODAY
Very dry conditions will develop again this afternoon. While
winds will not be quite as strong on the whole as they were on
Tuesday, they will once again be gusty and erratic, and localized
areas may see winds similar to Tuesday`s. Winds will remain
elevated throughout the afternoon, then taper off around sunset.
Fine fuel moisture is expected to once again fall to below 10%
during the afternoon hours, which in conjunction with
aforementioned dry and gusty weather will be favorable for the
rapid spread of wildfires across the warned area.
RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING
FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR NORTHEAST GEORGIA, WESTERN
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA, AND PARTS OF THE NORTH CAROLINA
MOUNTAINS
WINDS: Northwest 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
HUMIDITY: As low as 15%.
IMPACTS: Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning ban in effect.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
