Barricaded Man Arrested after Four Hour Stand-Off in Hesperia

INCIDENT: Criminal Threats
LOCATION: 9300 block of Pecan Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Allan Josue Benitez, 32-year-old, resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at approximately 10:14 a.m., deputies responded to the 9300 block of Pecan Avenue in Hesperia reference reported criminal threats against the victim by the suspect, identified as Allen Josue Benitez. The victim reported Benitez was armed and under the influence of narcotics. The victim was able to flee the residence with the children while Benitez was asleep. Deputies arrived on scene and Benitez barricaded himself inside of the residence.
The Special Enforcement Division, along with the Crisis Negotiation Team, arrived on scene and started negotiations with Benitez. After approximately four hours, Benitez was taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was conducted on the residence and a firearm along with ammunition were located.
Benitez was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC422(a)- Criminal Threats without bail. Benitez will also be charged with PC29800(a)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC30305(a)(1)- Prohibited to Own Ammunition and PC32310(a)- Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine.
The victim and the children were not harmed during the incident.
