EVACUATION ORDER LIFTED – FIRE 100% CONTAINED
The fire in Rutherfordton is now 100% contained. Approximately 5 acres were involved, fueled by extremely high winds this afternoon. Fire crews acted swiftly to control the blaze, and residents who were evacuated may now safely return home.
Fire units will remain on scene throughout the night to monitor conditions and ensure the continued safety of the area. We thank all emergency personnel for their quick response and thank residents for their cooperation during the evacuation.
