Due to emergency utility work, the intersection of Easton Avenue and Somerset Street will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic beginning 6:00 AM Saturday, March 29, 2025. The closure is anticipated to extend through Monday, March 31, 2025 until 3:00 PM.
 
Due to the closure, detours will be in effect at Little Albany/Wall Streets, College Avenue, Hamilton Street and Hardenbergh Street. Local access to Condict Street will be possible through the Hardenbergh Street side.
 
Access to the Emergency Room and Parking Garage at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital will be possible via Little Albany Street and Easton Avenue and Somerset Street and Hardenbergh Street.
 
Detour signage will be posted and motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and expect delays in the area.
 
No Parking signs will be posted on Somerset Street between College Avenue and Hardenbergh Street and on Easton Avenue between Somerset Street and Hamilton Street. These temporary parking regulations will be enforced to ensure the safety of the workers and provide a more efficient means of egress for local and construction traffic.
