The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Iowa, Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Sioux, O'Brien, Clay, Plymouth, Cherokee and Woodbury. In Minnesota, Murray, Cottonwood, Nobles, Jackson and Rock. In Nebraska, Dixon and Dakota. In South Dakota, Clay and Union.
* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35-40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
