As CO Johnson Park continues to undergo upgrades to improve outdoor recreation for residents and visitors, you may have noticed that yesterday, contractors began setting up to start working on the rehabilitation of Field #8 to address drainage issues as well as performing upgrades to the parks irrigation system.
 
Please be advised that as of March 27, 2025, Field #8 will be temporarily closed, and will remain closed until the rehabilitation process is complete. Additionally, sections of the paved walking path bordering Field #8 will experience temporary closures during this process to facilitate the work being performed.
 
Also, we ask that you keep in mind that before Field #8 can be returned to use, it is essential to allow the new grass to take root and establish itself properly.  During this time, no activities or events will be permitted on the field.
 
This closure is necessary to improve the facilities and ensure a safer and more enjoyable environment for all.
 
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work toward continuing to enhance CO Johnson Park.
