Narrative:

On March 26, 2025, a theft occurred at the Nike Outlet Store located at 990 Camarillo Center Drive #1030 at the Camarillo Outlet Mall. Over $2,000 of clothing and shoes were stolen by three suspects who fled the scene in a vehicle. Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Camarillo Patrol Station responded and located the vehicle fleeing the scene. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit ensued.

The suspects led deputies on a high-speed pursuit from the city of Camarillo to the area of Simi Valley. Due to the dangerous actions of the suspects, deputies discontinued the pursuit for the safety of the public. Shortly after, the suspects were seen by helicopter fleeing on foot and entering a shed in the backyard of a residence in Simi Valley. Deputies from Camarillo, Moorpark, as well as officers from the Simi Valley Police Department and Ventura County Community College District Police Department responded and safely apprehended the suspects.

All three suspects were arrested for PC 490.4 – Organized Retail Theft, and PC 182(a)(1) – Conspiracy. The driver (S1) was arrested for the additional charges of VC 2800.2 – Evading and PC 273a(a) – Child Endangerment. The adult suspects were booked into custody at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura, CA and later posted bail. The juvenile suspect was cited and released to a responsible party.
