Animal cruelty incident circulating on social media under investigation.
On March 27, 2025, the Fremont Police Department responded to reports of a man repeatedly hitting a dog with an object. A concerned witness captured the incident on video, reported it to Fremont Animal Services, and shared the footage on social media. The Fremont Police Department immediately began investigating the incident,
On March 28, 2025, Fremont Police Officers and an Animal Services Officer located the involved dog. The dog has been placed in the care of the Tri-City Animal Shelter and was taken to a veterinarian for a full examination and treatment.
