Severe Storms Forecasted – Stay Informed with the Everbridge App

Cold Front to Bring Severe Storms Today – Stay Weather Aware
The National Weather Service forecasts a strong line of thunderstorms will move through our area this afternoon and evening. As of this morning, March 31, 2025, severe weather is projected to begin impacting our area starting at 3 p.m.
 
Potential hazards include:

  • Damaging winds exceeding 60+ mph
  • Isolated tornadoes
  • Large hail (1” or more in diameter)
  • Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning
 
Stay Informed – Download the Everbridge App
To ensure you receive real-time weather alerts from the National Weather Service, download the Everbridge app—available for free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
 
How to get started:
  1. Search for "Everbridge" in your app store (look for the blue icon with a white checkmark).
  2. Download and open the app.
  3. Select “ALLOW” for all notifications and critical alerts.
  4. Enter your ZIP code and subscribe to alerts from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office will discontinue routine text alerts, except in critical emergencies such as hurricanes or other life-threatening events.
