Sonora, Texas – Monday, March 31, 2025:

In recognition of the vital services provided by the American Red Cross, the City of Sonora is proud to designate March 2025 as American Red Cross Month in Sonora , Texas. As a token of our gratitude, we are hosting a special mobile blood drive and pet microchip event today.

Event Details:
 

• Blood Drive:
   
  • Time: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Location: City Hall Parking Lot, 100 North Concho, downtown Sonora.
  • In honor of the American Red Cross and the significant support they provide during hard times, this blood drive is a community initiative to express our appreciation and support for both our local citizens and our Red Cross counterparts.

• Free Pet Microchip Event "Proof of Rabies Vaccine Required" :
   
  • Conducted by the Sonora Police Department Animal Control, this free service allows pet owners to have their animals microchipped at no cost. This initiative is aimed at making it easier to reunite lost pets with their families promptly.
  • The American Red Cross will also be present at the event, contributing to and supporting both the blood drive and the pet microchip services.
