Pocatello, ID – Sgt. Dane Eborn and his K9 partner, Frank, from the Pocatello Police Department, recently spent three days in Sun Valley, Idaho, providing critical security during the Audi FIS Ski World Cup. As an explosives detection dog, K9 Frank played a vital role in ensuring the safety of the event, which attracted participants and spectators from around the world.
During their time at the event, K9 Frank had more than 20 deployments, inspecting various areas to detect and ensure there were no hazardous materials or dangerous objects present. Several other K9 teams from across the state were requested to assist in maintaining safety throughout the high-profile international event. The departments of the officers were compensated by the hosting company.
Sgt. Eborn and K9 Frank valued the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious occasion. “It was a privilege to contribute to the safety of the event and to be part of such a great experience,” said Sgt. Eborn. “We were glad to assist in making the Audi FIS Ski World Cup a safe and enjoyable event for everyone involved.”
