Indiana Sheriffs' Association Youth Leadership South Camp dates announced.
The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association is pleased to announce the annual Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Youth Leadership Camp that will be held in June 16th- 18th. Counties from all over the southern part of the state of Indiana will gather at the Indiana FFA Leadership Camp in Trafalgar, Indiana (Johnson County) for this three day event.
The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association youth Leadership Camp is a program provided by the Indian Sheriffs’ Association for young men and women who are currently in the 8th grade of school and will become freshmen during the fall 2025 school year. Sheriffs’ camp is a great way to learn more about a possible career in law enforcement, or to learn more about law enforcement in a casual camp setting. This camp provides the opportunity to have meaningful experiences and relationships with other campers from throughout the state as well as Sheriff Officers and Deputies who serve as counselors and instructors.
Any young man or lady in the 8th grade who is interested in attending camp should contact their local Sheriff’s Office or your school counselor to receive an application and other information. Sheriff Bruce Vanoven of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office announced that he will take care of the camp registration fee for any Gibson County 8th graders who want to attend the camp. Further the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the North Gibson School Corporation will also take Gibson County Campers to and from the camp experience.
For more information, please contact your local Sheriff’s Office, or email Sgt. John Fischer fischer@gibsoncountysheriff.com or Sheriff Bruce Vanoven vanoven@gibsoncountysheriff.com.
