1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1845) Sihk Temple Street and Sixth Street, Park District
The male victim, 25, was in the area of the call location, pinging his cell phone, which was taken during a prior robbery. The victim was believed to have recognized the suspect, and a confrontation occurred. The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several gunshots at the victim. The victim was uninjured, and the suspect fled. SUSPECT: Hispanic male, no further description.
2. Weapons Arrest (2225) 2700 Block of Playa Del Sol Avenue, Park District
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a subject armed with a firearm. Upon arrival, officers contacted and detained the suspect. A search of his vehicle revealed a loaded handgun. ARRESTED: Marcus Anderson, 33, for brandishing, battery, and weapons charges.
