* At 811 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Galena, or near Joplin, moving northeast at 60 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

Purcell, Carytown, Duquesne, Dennis Acres, Carthage, Grand Falls Plaza, Oakland Park, Joplin, Oronogo, Maple Grove, Leawood, Alba, Galena, Airport Drive, Iron Gates, Atlas, Webb City, Shoal Creek Drive, Dudenville, and Brooklyn Heights.
