Meth Possession Charge for Marion Man
Detective Adam Burnette with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 41-year-old Billy Ray South, Jr., of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. He was given a secured bond of $5,000.
On March 26, detectives were executing a search warrant on a Marion man at his residence where South was also present.
A subsequent search of his person turned up a suspected amount of Methamphetamine.
South was taken into custody, and the narcotics were sent to the N.C. State Crime Lab for testing.
