The City of Demorest is issuing this boil water advisory on April 2nd, 2025. The Public Works will be replacing a valve in the area. Water customers could experience a water outage for approximately four hours today. The affected area is: Holley Street, Pine Ave Porter Street, Cedar Avenue, Indiana Blvd, Tennessee Street, and Blue Ridge Avenue. The advisory is in effect until the City of Demorest has done the appropriate testing to be confident that there is no longer a public health concern. Customers will be notified immediately when the Advisory is lifted. Once the Advisory is lifted you should flush all faucets for a minimum of two minutes before using for drinking or food preparation.
