Winter Storm Watch for Unalaska 
National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Unalaska from late tonight to Saturday morning.
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 8 and 18 inches possible. Winds could gust between 45 and 60 mph. Visibility could be reduced to one half mile or less at times.
* WHERE...Eastern Aleutians.
* WHEN...From late tonight through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The combination of heavy
snow and strong winds may significantly reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A significant winter storm is expected to
move over the Eastern Aleutians beginning late Wednesday night. As it does, temperatures will fall into the lower 30s, with any rain
at the onset changing to snow by early Thursday morning. Heavy,
wet snow is expected from Thursday morning through at least early
Friday afternoon. Warmer air may move in Friday afternoon,
allowing for a mix of rain and snow. Storm total snow amounts may
be reduced if rain does mix in late Friday. The heaviest snowfall
rates are expected Thursday morning through Friday morning with
the strongest winds likely Thursday night through Friday.
