* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook and Will.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1144 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rainfall with rates up to 1 inch per hour moving through areas with elevated soil moisture due to earlier heavy rainfall. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. In addition, multiple stream gauges indicate water levels nearing bankfull in the southern Chicago metro area. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch may occur in some areas. Minor flood will begin shortly or may already be occurring. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Joliet, Cicero, Hammond, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Romeoville, Plainfield, Calumet City, Chicago Heights, Midway Airport, Roseland, Chicago Lawn, Englewood, South Lawndale, South Shore, Bridgeport, West Town and Chicago Loop. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
