Wilmington Police arrest two men on gun and drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men on gun and drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in March, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into 20-year-old Nathan Wilson, and 41-year-old Brandon Copeland for illegal drug sales, and firearm possession. On March 28, at approximately 6:00 a.m., police executed search warrants in the 1500 block of East 28th Street, and the 100 block of Lower Oak Street. Police took Wilson and Copeland into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 9.51 grams of crack cocaine, 1.95 grams of heroin, 207 grams of marijuana, and $1,459.
Wilson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity – Two Counts
Copeland has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
