...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Arkansas... Buffalo River Near St Joe affecting Searcy County. For the Buffalo River...including St Joe...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Buffalo River near St Joe.
* WHEN...From late Friday night to Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 46.5 feet, Crest of April 25 2004 was 46.51 feet. Primary impacts are to the recreational facilities of the National Park Service, such as Tyler Bend Campground near U.S. Highway 65. River is swift and dangerous and may be carrying a tremendous amount of debris. Floating and other recreational activities on and along the river should be avoided.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Friday to a crest of 48.0 feet Saturday evening. This crest is based off of forecasted rainfall for the next three days. Continue to monitor latest forecasts for updates. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
