Chino Hills Deputies Respond to a Residence after Two Unknown Suspects Broke into the Home

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at approximately 8:22 PM, deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to a report of a residential burglary in progress in the 2800 block of Venezia Terrace Drive in Chino Hills. Upon arrival, they discovered that two suspects entered the property through a shattered upstairs glass door on the second-floor balcony.
The homeowner, armed with a firearm, fired at one of the suspects. Deputies believed at least one suspect remained inside the residence. With the assistance of the Chino Police Department and members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division, deputies conducted a thorough search of the home but found no suspects inside. Deputies expanded their search to the surrounding area but were unable to locate any of the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
