Watch Commander’s Night Report - April 3, 2025

CAD CALLS: 920

1. Trespassing/Resisting Arrest (1710) 400 Block of East Weber Avenue, Civic District

Officers responded to a report of a subject trespassing. They attempted to detain the suspect, who resisted, and force was required to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Pasqual Avina, 20, for drunk in public, trespassing, and resisting arrest.

2. Robbery (2030) Airport Way and Miner Avenue, Park District 

The male victim, 70, was driving in the listed area when the suspect approached. The suspect forcefully took the victim’s property before fleeing. SUSPECT: Black male adult.

3. Obstructing/Resisting Arrest (2108) 4100 Block of Logan Lane, Park District 

Officers responded to a shooting in the listed area. Officers attempted to check a residence, but the suspect became uncooperative and blocked the officer's path. The suspect had to be restrained. Officers determined no shooting had occurred and charges were referred to the District Attorney's Office.

4. Attempted Homicide Arrest (2318) Commerce Street and Fremont Street, Civic District

The female victim, 24, and a 1-year-old male juvenile victim were threatened by the known suspect who demanded they leave in his vehicle. The victims complied, and while driving in the area of the call location, the suspect told them he was going to kill them. The suspect intentionally crashed his vehicle into a bus stop. Officers arrested the suspect at the scene and found him to be in possession of a loaded firearm and narcotics. The victims were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. ARRESTED: Gonzalo Macias, 24, for attempted homicide, kidnapping, child abuse, weapon charges, drug charges, and DUl.
