...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Missouri... St. Francis River near Patterson affecting Wayne County. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Missouri... St. Francis River at Fisk affecting Stoddard and Butler Counties. .A couple more rounds of moderate to heavy rain can be expected into the weekend. The rest of the event rainfall has been incorporated into the river forecast. The St. Francis River has started to rise and crests are expected over the weekend. Now is the time to prepare for flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...St. Francis River at Fisk.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning to Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Considerable flooding occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 1.5 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 1.3 feet this afternoon. It will then rise to flood stage early Sunday afternoon. It will fall to 13.6 feet Tuesday evening then rise again. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BUTLER, MO ... STODDARD, MO

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
