Should you have any questions, please call Flood Brothers Disposal at 630-261-0400.

Spring Hydrant Flushing
The City of McHenry performs a biannual hydrant flushing operation to clean and maintain the water distribution system. The spring dates are Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 25.

During the flushing period, water can become discolored. If this occurs, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. If this does not correct the problem, wait approximately one (1) hour and flush the cold water again. Do not run your hot water until the cold water tap has cleared. This discoloration is not hazardous for human consumption; however, clothing can become stained during laundering.

Should you have any questions, please call the Public Works Department at 815-363-2186.
