SVRPAH The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southeastern Carter County in southeastern Missouri... Eastern Ripley County in southeastern Missouri... Southeastern Wayne County in southeastern Missouri... Butler County in southeastern Missouri... West central Stoddard County in southeastern Missouri...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 845 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Budapest to near Fairdealing to near Doniphan, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Harviell, Naylor, Hendrickson, Milltown, Poplar Bluff, Oxly, Wappapello, Fairdealing, Rombauer, and Lake Wappapello State Park.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BUTLER, MO ... CARTER, MO ... RIPLEY, MO ... STODDARD, MO ... WAYNE, MO

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southeastern Missouri.
