Meramec River near Arnold. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Meramec River at Fenton.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 30.5 feet, Gravois Road begins flooding in Fenton southwest of the new bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 8.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Sunday morning and continue rising to a crest of 30.5 feet early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.

* AFFECTED AREAS: JEFFERSON, MO ... ST. LOUIS, MO

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted.
