* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Scott County in southeastern Missouri... North central New Madrid County in southeastern Missouri... Southwestern Cape Girardeau County in southeastern Missouri... Stoddard County in southeastern Missouri...

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 901 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Advance to near Bernie, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Bell City, Canalou, Vanduser, Advance, Bloomfield, Morley, Benton, Penermon, Morehouse, Lambert, Miner, Matthews, Oran, Baker, Blodgett, Essex, Dexter, Sikeston, Hay-Wood City, and Bernie. This includes the following highways... Interstate 57 in Missouri near Mile Marker 1. Interstate 55 between Mile Markers 58 and 86.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO ... NEW MADRID, MO ... SCOTT, MO ... STODDARD, MO

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southeastern Missouri.
