Flood Advisory until 02:30PM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Fayette, Franklin, Union and Wayne and the following counties, in Ohio, Butler, Clark, Franklin, Greene, Madison, Miami, Montgomery and Preble.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Dayton, Springfield, Kettering, Beavercreek, Huber Heights, Richmond, Fairborn, Xenia, Troy, Trotwood, Oxford, Piqua, Miamisburg, Springboro, Vandalia, Connersville, Englewood, Franklin, London and Tipp City.

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. To report flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and submit your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
