Flood Warning until 04:45PM

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Stark and Summit.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1000 AM EDT, river gages continue to show rises on several branches of Nimishillen Creek in Stark County after a round of heavy rainfall with thunderstorms this morning. Flooding is occurring in Louisville, North Canton, and Massillon. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Akron, Canton, Cuyahoga Falls, Massillon, Kent, Barberton, Green, Hudson, Tallmadge, North Canton, Streetsboro, Louisville, Mogadore, Hartville, Brewster, Navarre, Stow, New Franklin, Norton and Fairlawn. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
