* Flash Flood Warning for... Alexander County in southern Illinois... Scott County in southeastern Missouri... Stoddard County in southeastern Missouri...
* Until 515 PM CDT.
* At 103 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have produced flash flooding overnight and into this morning. Between 8 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area this afternoon. Flash flooding may begin shortly if not already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sikeston, Dexter, Scott City, Chaffee, Cairo, Bernie, Bloomfield, Advance, Oran, Miner, Benton, Morehouse, Puxico, Morley, Tamms, Kelso, Essex, Bell City, Dudley and Hay-Wood City.
