We've been aware of the power flickering issue this morning, and our dedicated electric workers have been out investigating the cause. The strong winds, reaching 30-50+ mph, have certainly contributed to the problem. A positive note is that, during these blinks, the power is coming back on so our whole system is performing as it should, post our recent upgrade. However, we suspected there may be added issues to our system, other than the winds. We’re pleased to inform you that we believe we have identified the issue and are working quickly to resolve it. To ensure a thorough fix, we will need to take portions of the city offline for approximately 30 minutes to an hour. This operation will begin within the hour. Please note, this will only affect certain areas of town, not the entire system. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Thank you for your patience, and we’ll keep you updated as we work to restore power to everyone!

Instructions:

No action is needed. The power will be cut off within the hour to portions of Tonkawa. This must be done to repair areas that we believe are causing the power to blink on and off, this morning. The repair work should only take 30 minutes to and hour to complete.
