On Friday, April 4th, 2025 the Town of East Greenbush and City of Rensselaer issued a Water Conservation Advisory to residents due to ongoing water maintenance activities at the Cross Street Pump Station in Troy and necessary repairs to the Pump House’s main water valves.  As this work continues, we are closely monitoring our water levels and would like to provide the following update:

Residents are advised to reduce water usage:

• Please limit laundry and dishwasher use, residents can safely wash 1-2 loads a day without an impact on the system;
• Residents may shower and bathe with quick showers with minimal impact on the water system; 
• Please do not fill pools or hot tubs;
• Please refrain from watering the lawn or garden.

Please note: There is currently no boil water advisory in effect.
We will provide updates as conditions change.

This advisory will remain in effect for the next 48 hours. We will continue monitor the tank levels and provide updates as necessary.
