On April 5, 2025, at 9:23 P.M. Gibson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Carithers Road near County Road 465 East.  Upon arriving, Deputy Wes Baumgart began an investigation into the accident.  During the investigation, he identified the driver as 18 year 18-year-old Jaksen Allen of Princeton.  While speaking with Mr. Allen, Deputy Baumgart observed clues that Mr. Allen was under the influence of alcohol.  At that point, he began a roadside DUI investigation.  At the conclusion of his investigation, he placed Mr. Allen into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail, where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Minor Consumption. 
 
Assisting Deputy Baumgart in his investigation were Deputies Michael Bates, Eric Powell, and Wyatt Lashbrook. 
 
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
