Flood Warning until 02:00PM Thursday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and record river flooding continues.

* WHERE...A portion of West Tennessee, including the following counties, Dyer, Gibson, Obion and Weakley.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several structures are flooded and several levees have failed. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 213 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Martin, Union City, South Fulton, Dyer, Kenton, Rutherford, Obion, Trimble, Rives, Mason Hall, Moffatt, Mount Pelia, Tilghman, Tyson Store, Shaffner, Gibbs, Terrell, Gardner, Poplar Ridge and Locust Grove. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
