On Tuesday, March 25th, APD officers were sent to SW 9th and Kentucky on an assault. The victim reported that they were approached by an unknown male on a skateboard asking for an ice cream that the victim was selling. The suspect did not have any money and the victim refused. The suspect then began to strike the victim multiple times with the skateboard. The suspect then attempted to steal money, a phone, and food from the victim. The suspect was unable to get anything from the victim and then fled the scene. The victim later received medical treatment for their injuries.
