Theft at Campground Leads to Felony Charge for Fender
Detective Grant Robinson with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 54-year-old Martha Elizabeth Fender of Marion with felony Larceny. She was issued a secured bond of $1,000.
On February 21, Deputy Gage Honeycutt spoke with an individual about personal property theft from a local campground. The caller stated that several items were taken from their site, along with items from surrounding sites. Video footage from the area showed a gold Nissan truck leaving the area with a full truck bed.
Det. Robinson located the missing items at Fender’s residence where the Nissan truck was also parked.
