On April 7, 2025, at approximately 10:13 p.m., Fremont Police Department Officers responded to the area of Central Ave and Joseph Street to the report of a shooting. The reporting party indicated that a victim was shot in the upper body. Fremont Police and Fremont Fire personnel arrived, located the victim, and provided medical aid. The victim was transferred to a nearby hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates a suspect vehicle drove up to the victim and fired multiple shots. The suspect vehicle then fled northbound from Thornton Ave onto I-880.
