Winter Weather Advisory until 10:00AM Thursday

* WHAT...Snow expected with visibility dropping to below 1/2 mile during periods of moderate to heavy snow. For Turnagain Pass and Whittier snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Portage Valley snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Girdwood valley snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph in Portage Valley and east Turnagain Arm.

* WHERE...East Turnagain Arm, Turnagain Pass, and West Prince William Sound & Whittier.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 10 AM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST TURNAGAIN ARM ... PORTAGE ... TURNAGAIN PASS ... WEST PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND & WHITTIER
