One adult male and three juvenile male suspects robbed a victim of their cell phone, were located shortly after by law enforcement, and arrested.
 
San Mateo, CA – On April 8, 2025, at 5:58 p.m., San Mateo Police Department received a report of a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred on the 100 block of S Humboldt Street in San Mateo. The juvenile male victim advised that three suspects exited a black Honda, punched the victim in the face multiple times, and stole his cell phone, boxing gloves, and AirPods. The suspects fled the scene in the Honda with a fourth suspect driving the vehicle.
 
Officers arrived on scene and found the victim with visible injuries to their face, including a large bruise above their left eye. The victim added he recognized three of the four suspects and provided their first names to the officers. Officers confirmed the 21-year-old driver of the Honda’s identity as Ever Jacobo-Castro.
 
Shortly after the incident, a traffic officer located a similar vehicle occupied by four male occupants around El Camino Real and 12^th Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted, and the four male occupants were detained. During a field show-up with the victim, the victim identified the occupants as the suspects in the robbery. Another officer located the victim’s cell phone nearby, but the other property was still outstanding.
 
All four suspects were arrested for robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime. Jacobo-Castro was transported and booked into the San Mateo County Jail, while the three juveniles were transported to Hillcrest Juvenile Hall.
