Larkhall Avenue Water Main Replacement Project 
In its ongoing commitment to replace aging infrastructure and improve water delivery service, California American Water is investing $600,000 in its Duarte water system, replacing approximately 430 linear feet of undersized and aging water mains located on Larkhall Avenue in the City of Duarte.
Project Overview
- What: Replacement of approximately 430 linear feet of 4-inch water mains with 8-inch ductile iron pipes
- Where: Larkhall Avenue, City of Duarte
- When: April 10, 2025 – June 30, 2025, Monday-Friday
- Work Hours: 7 AM – 5 PM
- Investment: $600,000
This project will significantly improve water delivery, minimize service disruptions, and ensure adequate water flow for firefighting needs in the area. During water main installation, roadways will remain open to through traffic, and any necessary water service interruptions will be communicated 48 hours in advance.
Important Notes
- Water service interruptions will be limited, with advance notice provided.
- Work will occur Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
- Residential notices were distributed ealier in the week of March 31.
