We share with great regret that one of the victims in the shooting that occurred on April 7, 24-year-old Brandon Wink of Fairfield, has succumbed to his injuries. 

His passing was pronounced yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm by medical professionals. 

The other two male victims have been released from the hospital and are recovering. 

Our sympathies are with the victim’s family and friends. We continue to zealously investigate this incident, and anticipate bringing those responsible to swift justice.

On April 7 at around 7:30 pm, Fairfield Police Dispatch received several reports regarding a shooting in the 3400 block of Puffin Circle. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located three male gunshot victims.  All were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Two are in stable condition and one is in critical condition.

Investigations responded, and based upon  preliminary evidence, this does not appear to be a random incident and there is no perceived threat to the community.

Additional information will be forthcoming, but to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation no further information is available at this time.
