Wilmington Police arrest two men in connection with burglary:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men in connection with a burglary.
On March 31, at approximately 4:48 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1100 block of West 9th Street, in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, police obtained a description of the suspect vehicle and provided that description to officers in the area. A short time later, the suspect vehicle was located in the 900 block of North Pine Street. Police conducted a vehicle stop at that location, at which time 50-year-old Nakia Davis was taken into custody without incident, and a second male suspect fled from the vehicle on foot.
Throughout the course of their investigation, police identified the second suspect as 36-year-old Robert Chandler, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On April 1, at approximately 6:15 a.m., police executed a search warrant in the 500 block of East 9th Street, and took Chandler into custody without incident.
Davis has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Theft Over $1,500
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
Chandler has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Theft Over $1,500
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Resisting Arrest
