A contractor struck a water main on Coast Guard property, causing water outages in several areas of GATE SAHO.

As a result, GATE has issued an immediate Boil Water Advisory for Sandy Hook.

Residents of Sandy Hook are advised to boil water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth. Bottled water is also recommended. The advisory will remain in place until the Department of Water Management (DWM) confirms the water's safety through testing.
