Winter Weather Advisory until 10:00AM Friday

* WHAT...Snow expected with visibility dropping to below 1/2 mile during periods of moderate to heavy snow. For Turnagain Pass and Whittier additional snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Portage Valley additional snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Girdwood valley additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches.

* WHERE...East Turnagain Arm, Turnagain Pass, and West Prince William Sound & Whittier.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Be prepared for reduced visibility in heavier snow.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST TURNAGAIN ARM ... PORTAGE ... TURNAGAIN PASS ... WEST PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND & WHITTIER
